Ticket #82003 Public

Single event shortcode not working for site visitors, only admins can see them

Hi there,
I have created an event listing page with the single event shortcode. It works normally for logged in users but regular site visitors see a broken page with some elements missing, including the entire footer section.

I have checked the page in several browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera), the same issue occurs. I also checked in the browser console, no related errors show up.

Can you advice on how to solve this issue?

We have the latest version of EventON installed plus the Event Ticket Addon.

Thanks.

      Hello,

Please update EventON to the latest version 2.6.11. Please also update Tickets.

If it still doesn’t work please follow the instructions in this documentation to activate debug in your site to see any PHP errors recorded that can provide insight on to whats going on. Please reply with a link to debug.log file. If you are not able to do this please send us FTP access to your site so we can do this for you.

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon install new one and activate and delete old eventon. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!

To update eventon addons: You can download latest eventon addons from myeventon > my account. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old addon and install new one and activate then delete the old addon. This link will further explain the process. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!

      Thanks, that solved the problem.

Now, we notice that on Cart page, “Proceed to Checkout” button is missing. Is this related to the recent update?

Every time I try to get to Cart page it redirects me to Checkout. Do you have the same problem?

    • By: Kunle Orankan Jun 26,2018 AT 1:00AM - Posted 5 years ago - #82114

Yes, that’s because I added some code to the functions.php file to redirect to checkout page on cart page load.

You can temporarily disable this code if you’d like to see the cart page.

I still need a solution for this issue so if you have any clues, please let me know.

      Thanks!

Could you please disable the code so I can check the Cart page?

The code has been disabled. Please let me know incase you’re unable to find a solution asap so I can re-enable. Thanks!

Could you please try the instructions mentioned in this documentation to make sure your issue is indeed coming from eventon. Pretty sure it’s theme/plugin conflict as WooCommerce handles Cart and Checkout pages.

Well, the only changes we made prior to this occurring was updating EventON and the Tickets Addon, so I’m pretty sure it’s related to that update.
