Created an event where users can RSVP, everything looks great, but nothing happens when they click on RSVP button.

Created a public event where everyone can rsvp, but the button does not do anything:

      Hello,

The problem is in this js error:

global.js?ver=1.0:124 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘top’ of undefined

          at belowEntryMetaClass (global.js?ver=1.0:124)

          at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (global.js?ver=1.0:211)

          at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

          at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

          at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

          at HTMLDocument.J (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

Could you go to EventON > Single Events > enable Create Single Events Page Sidebar? After go to Widgets and add a widget to Single Event Sidebar.

Did the above, but not sure which widget exactly I must add?

Tried adding an EventON widget but rsvp button still did not work

Tried all the widgets, currently ‘EventON Basic Calendar’ widget, same result.

It’s a pity support just left me high and dry. Suggesting a random solution that did not really work. I had a real urgency with looming deadline to resolve the problem asap as we had already sent out invitations to people to RSVP. I feel support could really have been better.

After pulling a all nighter, I finally found a wordpress plugin (jQuery Updater) that updates jquery. I am running twenty-seventeen theme, and I think it’s jquery is outdated. Installed the plugin, and everything started working flawlessly.

It’s very unusual that you had to update jQuery on WordPress to make JS work on your whole website. Usually the latest version of WordPress comes with latest (and tested) version of jQuery. We are glad you’ve managed to resolve this issue by yourself. Sorry for the delay but unfortunately, we cannot provide support by minutes. The usual response time is 24 hours. If you have any further questions or concerns please create a new ticket.
