There seems to be a few conflicts with EventON and Divi. We have the /events/ page that we’re editing via the backend builder. We’re using the Divi “Fullwidth Post Title” modules which is supposed to pull in the title of the page. This would be “Events”. But when we view the page, it actually has a random event name as the title. Somehow, it’s pulling in an event title, instead of the Page’s title. This issue goes away once we deactivate the EventON plugin.
In addition, when using the new Divi Builder Experience, we get a constant loading issue when trying to edit the Events page. If we use the old Divi Builder experience, it still causes an issue as the entire page it not able to be interacted with. The cursor cannot be clicked or anything. Lastly, when I try to create a Custom Body for the Events post type, it doesn’t work. My custom layout ends up breaking the event output. For example, I’ve added a custom Post Title to the layout, and also the Post Content module. But the Post Title doesn’t show up. The content shows up, but it not structured as expected. It seems the actual Layout is not taking affect at all, and that EventON is overriding the Divi Theme Builder body layout.
I recommend you do further testing with this to fix these issues.
Dec 13,2019 AT 1:56PM - 4 years ago -Hey,
What do the Divi guys say?
They said:
Generally we can’t guarantee support with all plugins as we have no control over how they are coded and there are too many plugins created (tens of thousands) to test them all.
That being said, most plugins should work assuming they are coded well and no conflicts arise.
So I would suggest you to contact the EventON plugin support team so they can investigate more about the issue.
Unfortunately, Divi and EventON aren’t compatible in this way.
Please follow https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/customize-single-events-page/ and https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/how-to-customize-events-archive-page/ in order to customize Single Event and Archive templates.
PROTIP: If the /events page does not work due to theme/plugin conflicts, create a new page, call it “Events Directory” Insert eventon shortcode and use that as your main events page which will have a URL ending like /events-directory. This would be a perfect solution if you have conflicts with /events slug.
What is the Eventon shortcode mentioned above that has to be in the page on Divi?
Hello Wiebe Scholten,
Could you show us the exact line of text you are referring to?
