Hi there,
Im creating an event platform that will have lots of clients. Most of my clients want a simple feature, and that is see the event statistics/event count views in their event manager.
As I saw, you don’t have that feature and I hope you will think to implement something like that in the future as it is super useful and important for clients. This is really simple and would look something like this > https://i.snipboard.io/pxeV2i.jpg
That is just a representation that I created to show you how it will look after we implement the function just below the date/time in the event manager.
What I need from you is just a piece of code that I will place in the child theme functions.php so the original code of your plugin will not be touched. The function needs to hook to each respected event and show its count view.
For this I will be using a plugin called Page Views Count, URL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-views-count/ and below I’m providing you with the official count shortcode and count function as well. I’m not php saavyy at all but I’ve heard that using a function is better for some reason than the shortcode but you can tell what is best.
Page Views Count Shortcode
Shortcode
[pvc_stats postid=”” increase=”1″ show_views_today=”1″]
postid: Post/Page ID want to show stats, leave empty for use ID of current post.
increase: (1|0)
1: increase count and show stats.
0: show stats only without increase count.
show_views_today: (1|0)
1: show Views Today.
0: hide Views Today.
Page Views Count Function
There are 2 functions that you can use to manually add Page Views Count to any content or post type that is created by your theme or plugin that creates it’s own table instead of using custom post types.
Single post, page, object
Increase Page Views Count and echo stats of this post
Increase Page Views Count and return stats of this post
Index pages
Echo stats of this post
Return stats of this post
I hope you can help me with this and provide me with the code that I can just copy/paste and make this work as I imagined.
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Brando
Hello,
Unfortunately, we unable to help with customization requests.
You can send us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category.
Hi Artem,
Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to open a ticket as customization request, but I see you charge for it.
Please note that this is not really a customization request and modification of your plugin, I just need your help and small piece of code as I provided you with shortcodes and functions, so you have everything needed in order to provide me with a code. I already worked with other plugin support teams as I needed this function implemented and nobody asked for a dime and just provided me with a code.
I really expect help from you as this is silly to be charged, I already spent lots of money on lots of your addons.
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Brando
According to Envato’s and our rules this is considered a customization request. You can also find developers on studio.envato.com or upwork.com
