How to password protect the event detail page?

Hi,

Is there a way to password protect the event detail page (the single event page)?
I have tried to password protect it with the standard WordPress visibility setting, but that doesn’t work.

It’s for an event organizer to display his event calendar with his virtual events. On the event page he wants to share details that are only for registered attendees. Think about a link to documentation, a zoom link, chat link etc.

So basically everybody is allowed to see the general details, but not the details that are for paying attendees only.

Thanks
JP

      Hello

I do not see a purchase of the event tickets

Would you mind sending us the order ID for this addon purchase from myeventon.com, because we do not see this addon as purchased using your email address in our system. Thank you!

Now when you speak of the event organiser- how is he/she adding events? via action user front end form or via the backend

I have to ask as there is no access to your site and the only addons appearing under this email address is Sync events

I don’t understand. What addon do you mean? I don’t have an addon. It’s about the basic EventOn plugin. When you create an event via the backend, there is a setting to indicate that it’s a virtual event.

I want to password protect either the details of the entire event single page (which can normal be done with the WP Visibility setting that doesn’t work with events) or a part of the details.

You can’t protect the virtual info if you are not using tickets or RSVP.

eventon from codecanyon by itself doesn’t hide data and is not advertised to hide data

those 2 addons have a setting- display virtual info after rsvp (or bought ticket)

if you are using some other method of selling tickets or registration then you would need to send in a customization request, however that would most probably be more expensive that the tickets/rsvp addon and of course time consuming to create

so going back to your original message

“So basically everybody is allowed to see the general details, but not the details that are for paying attendees only”

if you are using another system to sell tickets then you would need to send them an email with the links

Or (while not a good solution) create a PDF with links , passwords etc- and if you are using basic woocomerce to sell tickets you would also make the product downloadable- so they download the PDF with the virtual info on it- not an ideal solution and alot of stuffing around

Ok clear. I’ll talk to my customer about this.

      Thanks
