Many of the people who are using the website are older and are looking to share the event by copying and pasting the URL- not through the social media options or email options that are available on event cards. I have changed the pop-up option to instead open up the single event page so they can click in the address bar and copy and paste from there- but- some people still aren't savvy enough to do this. Is there no way to just have a "Copy event link" option on the event card next to the social icons? Thanks.

But you can create a new field, the only issue is it will require a double save

Thank you for this. Certainly not as elegant and does involve extra steps but I think it will work for now. I will ask my client how important it is to have it where the other shareable options are. Do you have any idea how much that might cost?

I do not do the customizations myself- best thing is to create a customization request and set your budget to $1 – and this means you will get them telling you the cost
Shouldn’t be too demanding of a task tho I suspect as if you set the user interaction to single event- its creating the link as it creates the page- its just a matter of grabbing that data and putting into the front end (not as easy as that) but far easier than come of the requests we get
I was looking exactly for this same thing. When displaying single events as pop-ups, it is vital to have a URL available, probably as a “share link” / “copy to clipboard” icon (chain) in the social share area.
I agree with Kelly that the solution provided in the video involves uncomfortable extra steps and the visual impact / functionality is not in the line with the rest of the plugin… For now, I asked through customization request, too. Really hope it could be implemented in future updates! 🙂
