RSVP-Button not working

I have activated RSVP for logged-in users only. I have 2 problems with this:
1.) After loggin in, the user gets redirected to the single event page of that event. Can I prevent that? Also this single event page is the past event of the recurring event, not the event date the user wanted to rsvp to.

2.) When the user is logged in then, he/she cannot click “yes” to RSVP. How is this fixable?

Okay, now something very weird is happening while I try to debug. I set up 2 events to compare the virtual details-visibility.

      The first one (monday):

      >virtual details only visible when user buys ticket. These ticket purchase is only for logged in users.

! It’s very weird that here the messages show: “Please RSVP to join this event.” even though RSVP is not activated and even after the user bought a ticket!

      > User clicks Login
      > User gets redirected to WP-Login page
      > after login he gets redirected to single event page where he now is allowed to purchase
      > he purchases, but cannot access the details because the ticket order is still marked as “processing” instead of “complete”. Shop-Manager now needs to set order to “completed” manually, although this ticket is a virtual product that should be “completed” right away.
      > when user goes back to event card, he sees the info “You have purchased a ticket for this event!” but he sees it on ALL recurring events now although he only bought a ticket for one event.

      Second event scenario (wednesday):

      >virtual details only visible when user RSVPs to event. The RSVP is only for logged in users.

! It’s very weird that here the messages show: “Purchase ticket now to join!” although ticketing is not active for this event!

      > User clicks Login
      > User gets redirected to WP-Login page
      > After login in, the user gets redirected to the single event page of that event series. Also this single event page is the first event of the recurring event, not the event date the user wanted to rsvp to.
      > he RSVPs on the date he wants, but needs to reload the page to see the virtual events. (Also when refreshing, the calendar jumps back to the current day, so the user needs to find his desired date back again.)

It’s kinda frustrating because it seems like there are a couple of things linked to each other that should not. Can you help?

can you provide a direct link to your RSVP event and a direct link to your ticket event from the examples above please

Found the error could be resolved by updating a add-on. Still the user has to refresh the page to see the video-link details after RSVP-ing.

Is there a fix for that?

Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer! Also please disable any IP blocking on your site if there are any.

Xuan, so in the last update we made some changes, so when customer RSVP it created them a new account and send login infor to their email. If you set only allow loggedin users to rsvp that will resolve the sign in issue.

Hey there, thank you. But somehow now after updating, all my events are gone from the calendar…

    • Xuan Hoang Mar 15,2021 AT 3:53PM - Posted 4 years ago - #227329

Just tested with a new test-event. New events are shown, but not my old ones. Cleared cache and server cache and everything. But my user still has to refresh the site so then see the virtual event details after rsvp.

Just rolled back to v 3.1 and the “old” events are showing again. So how can I upgrade to the new version 3.1.1 without having to create each event newly again?

here is the patch fix to resolve the events showing inwrong month. Let me revisit your RSVP issue and see if I can find some solution.

    • Ashan Perera Mar 16,2021 AT 4:20PM - Posted 4 years ago - #227742

      1. I can not replicate the login issue. It works fine for repeating event for me.

      2. So the order going into processing even for virtual event does not only rely on the fact it is virtual woocommerce may do this for payment processing situations that are on hold and wait confirmation from credit card. But payment processing is completely done on woocommerce end.

      3. I am able to replicate the repeat event link issue from cart. I will fix it.

Hey Ashan thank you. Do you know if you can somehow foresee a patch fix this week? It seems like recurring event tickets are sold for all recurring events instead of just that one selected date.

    • Ashan Perera Mar 17,2021 AT 4:11PM - Posted 4 years ago - #228099

It is not selling for all, it just doesnt show the correctly sold repeat. I will release the new versions this week. There are several file changes so would be hard to share a patch fix 🙂

    • Xuan Hoang Mar 17,2021 AT 5:19PM - Posted 4 years ago - #228109

Ah, ok. I thought it sold for all, because like in my reply #227007 above I described how after buying one ticket all events show the virtual event details after buying a specific date. Looking forward to the update this week!

Yep I get it Xuan 🙂 Hoping to get the eventON released today and then tickets and rsvp with the fixes for you 🙂

Hello, are there any news? The event tickets are still not working properly.

    • Ashan Perera Apr 16,2021 AT 11:19AM - Posted 4 years ago - #233713

Kindly apply this patch fix to resolve RSVP not working issue.

    • Xuan Hoang Apr 16,2021 AT 12:09PM - Posted 4 years ago - #233729

Not sure if there are even more changes in your script, because the lines don’t match. Also, does this patch apply to tickets as well? I have tried to put this in, but still all dates of the recurring event are counted down together when one ticket is bought for a specific date of the event.

Do I maybe need to create a new event for the fixes to apply? (So these changes do not apply to already published events?)

    • Artem Apr 17,2021 AT 11:59AM - Posted 4 years ago - #233845

      Hey Xuan,

I would suggest searching not for the lines, but rather for the code that is needed.

Let us know if that would help you better.
