RSVP Reminder Plugin not sending emails

I have tried a few times to schedule a RSVP Reminder for an event, but I keep getting the message "Tried sending reminders!"

I tried saving the Event a few times, still no go.

  double check your SMTP settings

  That was the fix! That plugin was not supposed to be running, as soon as I turned it off it worked perfectly.
  
  While I am here, is there any way to modify the formatting of the Reminder emails?

  The only solution is to customer the source code. You can send us a customization request from Customize EventON Page.
