Ticket #257500 Public

using start day/ start month, start year instead of {startdate}

Is there code I can use to display start day, start month and start year each separately instead of combining into {startdate}

      Hello,

      You can either enable Edit Event > Month Long Event – Show this event for the entire start event Month OR Year Long Event – Show this event for the entire start event Year.

      Also make sure to check Edit Event > All Day Event.

      Sorry but I am looking to include something like {startdate} that use to work in a button on each event

      Does {startdate} still work?

      Can I use {startmonth} {startday} {startyear} insteaD?

      Are you referring to Gutenberg buttons? Could you elaborate with screeshots?

      I don’t think that EventON ever had such functionality.

      Hi – please see attached screen grab.  You will see (underline in red) we have used the tag {startdate] as part of a URL that links to our reservation system that used to populate with the eventon event’s start date. This has been working for years on older versions of eventon but seems to have stopped since we updated.

      1. This no longer seems to work ?
      2. We would like to split the start date up into day, month and year if possible?

      Thanks

      We have never had the support for those parameters via custom meta data box. Let me add that into version 4.0.2 🙂

      Thanks but even the old field {startdate} no longer seems to be working – it just returns 1/1/1970 – do you know why? it used to work fine?

      Thanks for update – appreciated.

      I must be doing something wrong – on my dev server I am on v4.02, use the tag{startdate} under a ‘check availability’ URL generator in eventon event but on the front end the {startdate] is still always returning a start date of 01/01/1970

      Any ideas?

      Hi,

      Can you please provide us access to the dev server so we can take a look?

    • By: Ashan Perera Dec 23,2021 AT 5:09PM - Posted 1 year ago - #263899

      Ok got it working. I added code to support {SD} as startdate and that made it work weirdly.

      That’s amazing – what do I need to do to my main site (www.billabongretreat.com.au) to get it working?
