json-upload not working correctly

My Task is to build a a plan with 30 rows, each with 36 seats, divided by an middle aisle between seat 18 and 19.
The numbering of the seats is given by the location.

What I did was to build the plan with given parameters. The rows were numbered as expected and given (from 1 in front to 30 in the rear part). The layout of the plan was like expected. The seats had strange numbers like 1510 next to 159. To edit over a thousand seats, i had the idea of downloading the jason file, updating the numbers and uploading the updated file. Download, update a few rows and Upload – worked.

In the admin page i could now see my edited numbers, when hovering the seats. If wanted to edit the single seat, the former numbers reappeared – even so on the ticket belonging to this seat.

So I tried to first use ‘clear all seat map data’ and then upload the updated json-file. Upload worked, but no seats appeared in admin-view and on the event-page. What’s the cause? Did I something wrong or unexpacted? Or is it a bug?

I tried to first claar seat map data and than upload the original json file (as downloaded just before) – uplaod worked without any notice, but I got the same blank seatplan – ist this a bug?

Pls give me a hint, how to get around this strange behavior of the plugin. Editing over a thousand seats by clicking each on in the admin-view to me seams to be errorprone and almost imposible to do in an appropriate amount of time (if you expect further events in other location with comparable size).

      At the moment you uploaded the file, the map seems to be ok

      • if you try to edit a single seat – there are no seat-numbers and no prices
      • if you reload the whole event and then try to see the map – it`s empty

      same effect if you downloaded the ‘original’ map and uploaded it again – without any editing

      pls let me know more about this big update:

      • what we would need urgently: seats are categorized and colored by prize-categories. seats in one block and even in one single row can belong to different pricing-category (i attached a picture for your orientation – seats with different color have different prize-category, each category has its own color)
      • can you give an idea for ‘available soon’ – will it be in 10 days, several month or??

      Hi there,

      there will be no hurry, because we already decided to use other tools for our needs – which were urgend and left no further time.

      It would be kind of you to return our money for the seatmap-plugin, which we never could use and won’t use it in the future – see first notice in this ticket.

      In order to request a refund, please create a new ticket under Billing & Accounts and be sure to include the order ID for which you need a refund for and the reason for requesting a refund.
