Is it possible to include custom meta data to csv?

I have bought the full version of EventOn some time ago. Now I want to set up another instance for new launch of the same website. This should also contain addons like Map and csv importer - already bought with another license for working in parallel.
To swap the already existing entries from the old page I tought to export as csv and import into the new page. So far so good, it works in general.
I have added one cusrom meta data field for an external ticket link per event as a button. We have an artist, who is booked by different locations, ticket selling goes though the locations. So we have to add external ticket links to each event in this way. The header of this field comes with "event_type_2_slug", but the link of the button (which is way more important) is not contained in the export.

      Hello,

      …the link of the button…

Event Type doesn’t have any buttons. Could you elaborate?

For Custom Meta fields please use these acceptable CSV file fields:

      cmd_{x} => Custom meta data values. You can add upto 10 custom meta field values with sepeate columns with column headers in format cmd_{x}

cmd_{x}L => can be used for custom field button url data

      Hi,

The button is created this way:

My EventOn –> Settings –> Custom Meta Data –> Activate Additional Field #1 = true –> dropdown Content Type = button

This appears below “SEO Additions for Event” in the single event, then. You have two text fields and one on/off slider. Textfileds are “button text” and “button link”, on/off is “open in new window”.

I would like to get the “button link” entry into my csv export.

Please try this from my previous message:

cmd_{x}L => can be used for custom field button url data

Well… may work for future. This is really a good hint how to include such information also for future automated IMPORT.

My current task is to EXPORT existing data which is added manually for a lot of events as described before. Is there any chance to have this in the export or do I have to copy this to the cmd_{x}L field before exporting?

Ah sorry. I’ve read the original message incorrectly.

Unfortunately, there is no way of adding these fields to the file, but I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!

Hello!  I am also trying to include my custom meta fields when exporting all events.  It seems that I am now getting the fields “cmd#” appended at the end of the export file, but the data is not populating from the events.  Is there anything I am missing?

Could you try update EventON to 4.7.3 and check again?

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website > make sure “Delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled” is Deslected from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate.

      Update Eventon

will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!
