Support for Grouped Products?

Hey guys,

as a non-profit in Germany, we have a special case for the use of Grouped Products. Currently I use Eventon to sell tickets to my events. The event fee has a VAT of 7% – however, when we offer food as part of the event, we have to include a separate line item on the invoice for food, for which we have to charge 19% VAT.

So if a ticket is 100€, I have to split it into 80€ (incl. 7% VAT) for the participation and 20€ (incl. 19% VAT) for the food. I thought I solve this annoying issue by using Grouped Products or Smart Product Groups through a free Plugin like WPC Product Bundles for WooCommerce.

It works fine on the Woocommerce side of things, but now I have realized that Eventon doesn’t seem to support grouped products. I also looked into the Variations addon, but in playing around with it on the demo site, it doesn’t seem to give me the options I need, unless I am mistaken?

I thought this Price Option could solve the issue, but I can’t seem to configure anything more beyond the price, so I don’t see this as an option.

Is there any possibility to add support for grouped products or a workaround for my issue?

Kind regards, Philip

      Hello,

There is no way of assigning different tax rates for different variations of tickets (or options).

However, please take a look at this guide:

      https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/set-variable-prices-tickets/

On this screenshot it stated that you can select a unique tax rate for each variation:

      Hey there,

I solved my issue. In case anyone else ever has to deal with a similar problem:

      1. I use the free plugin “Force Sell for WooCommerce” to add the additional charge to the cart
      2. I use the free plugin “Discount Rules for WooCommerce” to then reduce the intial ticket price by the same amount added through the addition charge

Works like a charm and doesn’t interfere with Eventon so all works as it should!

      Kind regards, Philip
