Yes, you may but when testing a new event, please only do it once – and use “Test event” as the name and this for the description:
“Testing event notifications, please disregard.”
And as soon as you can after the test, please delete your test event.

I don’t see what is wrong.
According to RFC 5545, the line length can’t be over 75 characters….so Google wraps it. While there are a few warnings according to the RFC 5545 spec (specific to length being a couple characters longer than defined), there are no errors with the ics file when run with a validator.
Also, the ics file is generated by Google…and they are usually pretty good about following specs etc.
