What we need is called an ICAL feed or ICS feed  (not file download)
This plugin seems to be doing this

Sadly this hasn’t been updated so we can’t use it or test it.

Out’r customer want visitors to be able to subscribe to the event on calendar to their own calendar (Google, Outlook) by using the
“add an internet calendar ” and a URL ending in .ics

Can you explain this a little more please? I wasn’t able to understand clearly what you were trying to achieve.

Hi well we know about the “download ics feature” what we need is a URL in ICAL format that can be used as a subscription.  as described here: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37648?hl=en

We have tried to use a RSS feed but google dosen’t accept it.
