The problem is in this theme conflict:

If you can’t see any change, EventON > turn off Write styles to header > save settings > turn on Write styles to header.

The only available option is EventON > Auto move events to trash when the event date is past.

Please also create a new ticket and select Feature Request as category so others can vote on your idea and get it moved into development faster. OR You can send us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category.

I am really sorry, I think I missed your words about Variations add-on. Went straight to wp-admin and checked first available event (https://www.activitystation.org.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=6964&action=edit). It doesn’t use Variations add-on that’s why I recommended to install one. Could you please follow this guide https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/how-to-setup-and-get-started/ and config variations using Variations add-on functionality instead of WooCommerce’s one?

To update eventon addons: You can download latest eventon addons from myeventon > my account. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old addon and install new one and activate then delete the old addon. This link will further explain the process. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!

I doubt that you can put this file in your child theme. I think you need to find a filter (if available) and put it to functions.php file of your theme.
