There are no limits. It’s just your server can’t create 9999 repeats, because each repeat is basically a separate event so I guess it doesn’t have enough memory or processor capacity.

Please check date format:

event_start_date & event_end_date - Start/End date in format mm/dd/YYYY
event_start_time & event_end_time - Start/End time in format h:mm:AM/PM

It should be mm/dd/YYYY for dates and h:mm:AM/PM for times.

Ah yes, sorry about that. When using Repeating events you need to increase Number of repeats so there was a separated event for each repeat. But now you’ve got one event that goes from 2018/12/18 to 2028/12/18 with only one repeat. That’s why you have so many events from December in January.

Were you following this method:

To update eventon addons: You can download latest eventon addons from myeventon > my account. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old addon and install new one and activate then delete the old addon. This link will further explain the process.
