You can use this or similar plugin to backup the whole website:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/

If you follow the guide above and make sure that “EventON > Delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled” is disabled, then you can simply disable the current version, delete it and then install the latest version of EventON 4.6.8.

We are on Version 4.6.7 and I believe that our hosting provider is WordPress. If we updated on the backend where would the wp-content folder be to back up the phpmyadmin database and website files?
