Here is the CPU Usage graph, the number on the left is the used CPU cores.
And the usage spiked immediately after the plugin was updated.

No errors were written into the log file.
Neither did any errors show on the page while this happened.

We will try to replicate this on the test system,
where noticeable slow-downs were already noticeable,
but we assumed them to be caused by other plugins.

After updating EventON on the main page, we are quite certain that it is the culprit though.
Like said, it first slowed down the page and later made it unreachable due to the high CPU utilization the shortcodes caused.
