event_count=”7″ limits the number of events per month, not overall for the whole list. You need to use Event Lists: Ext https://www.myeventon.com/addons/event-lists-extended/ with this option enabled:

When Fusion Builder is enabled, you cannot save events at all. Not sure what’s going on. We had similar errors reported in the past, but without any solution.
