Hello,
I am using EventON to allow individual users to have a personal calendar that tracks important dates, such as Birthdays, which they submit. Initially, I was trying to get rid of the End Date field, Start/End Time. It would be great if the toggle for these options could automatically indicate on, but that’s not possible.
As a result I am trying to use Gravity Forms, which allows me to create my own fields. Everything works fine, accept I can’t automatically Assign User to the event. Is there any way that I can pass this value on? Every other critical field is accessible, accept for this one. Any help would be sincerely appreciated, thanks!

you are using gravity forms to submit events? How?
or are they submitting event data via the gravity form and you are putting in the event by hand
or you have modified gravity forms to work with eventon
need some clarification
Hi,
unfortunately that is outside the scope of this support desk- you can send a customize request

I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
While I appreciate the help, I would like you to reconsider your opinion that it falls outside the scope of support. Before purchasing EventON and Action User, which are rather expensive, I researched the capabilities to make sure they suited by needs. The Action User plugin clearly states “If you don’t want users to enter certain values you can set default values for certain things like, event categories and UX value for the event – that will be auto applied to submitted events.”
This led me to believe that it was already a built in feature so I did not anticipate having to reach out for support.
I just received your follow up email regarding having Ashan follow up with me. Thank you!

To answer your question: you would need to add the user ID to the taxonomy called event_users and assign that tax term ID for the event submitted.
And sorry about misunderstanding of yes/no buttons also compatible with default values. Have to push this as feature request. ANd probably should worded that different on actionUser page. 🙂
Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get this to work with no luck. Do you know if anyone has successfully used Gravity Forms to add an Event? I pass the ID onto event_users but no user is assigned, nothing changes.
Instead of trying to use Gravity Forms, is it possible to modify the Action User template such that “All Day Event” and “No end time” are toggled to yes by default? I imagine it has to be possible and might not even be difficult. I recognize that you get a million questions, but I would really appreciate your help…unfortunately I need to figure this out to use your plugin.
If you need admin access I would be happy to send over credentials. Thanks.
yes it shouldnt be that difficult to do that for actionUser submission form. Unfortunately we have ton of other things already in the pipeline so would have to be put in feature request and get that move into development. However you are more than welcome to submit a customization request so our admins can work on it for you.
