AMP (Accelerated Mobile Page) compatibility

  • Hi, in my site I use Eventon normally:

    https://compartirtrenmesaave.com/anuncios/

As you can see you can do all things with events. But when I navigate on AMP url version of this same page:

    https://compartirtrenmesaave.com/anuncios/?amp

As you can see Eventon doesn’t work.

In another shortcode implementation of Eventon in the Sidebar:

    https://compartirtrenmesaave.com/billetes-tren-baratos/?amp

It didn’t work either when you click on the events.

Is it possible to do Eventon compatible with AMP pages?

    It’s very important.

      Hello,

Please check the footer of the page https://compartirtrenmesaave.com/anuncios/?amp. It supposed to load this file that has all the js:

      <script type="text/javascript" src="https://compartirtrenmesaave.com/wp-content/uploads/cache/fvm/1568963901/out/footer-97ae5f8a.min.js"></script>

      Like on this page:

But for some reason it didn't. Please check the theme settings.

AMP restricts the use of any JavaScript on the page except for AMP scripts. The event calendar is not working in the amp version of the page because the appropriate JS files are restricted from loading.

A plugin that loads/modifies page content dynamically will not work on an AMP site unless (if it is possible) the plugin is coded to replace its normal scripts with AMP specific scripts instead.

Your page contains only the calendar and loads quite fast both on desktop as well as mobile. My suggestion is to use the normal version of the page, if possible. If your AMP plugin supports it, you can disable amp only on event pages and keep it for the rest of the site.
