Ticket #30921 Public

Appearance does not accept the color I am entering

  • Hey,

    I am editing the font title color and I am trying to input this color: 2196f3 but the appearance tab keeps changing it to 2195f3 which results in a different color.

    I even tried to edit it through custom css:
    #evcal_list .eventon_list_event .evcal_desc span.evcal_event_title, .evo_popup .eventon_events_list .eventon_list_event .evcal_desc span.evcal_event_title {
    text-transform:none;
    font-size: 16px !important;
    font-weight:700 !important;
    color: #2196f3 !important;
    }

    Still it doesn’t work.

    Thanks!

    Moe

      I kept messing around and it seems to work now (Not sure if this will last), however it still does not accept the color normally in appearance when I try to change title color.

      Also now when I refresh, it feels like it goes to 2195f3 then switches to 2195f6

      try

      myeventon>>>>settings>>>>write dynamic styles to header

      then clear your browser cache and if you have a wordpress cache – fresh that as well

      Also- add those custom css to your theme custom css normally in Appearance>>>>customize>>>>custom css some theme require the css put in there instead of myeventon

      I already have write dynamic header activated however you are missing the point.

      In appearance ==> event top ==> title font color

      When I change it to #2196f3, it automatically sets it to #2195f3

      It is displayed properly now due to the css edit, however that doesn’t deny the fact that the plugin is not accepting the color from within while this should not happen.

      Further more, checking my source code, I can see that 2165f3 shows up 2 time although it isn’t displayed on the page.

      Further investigation in the source of the page and it seems like the plugin is putting in alot of crowded unused code into my pages.

      On my /webinars page which has 1 calendar added. “eventon” keyword appears 233 time and “ev” 2,530 times. And I assume that alot of this code is just redundant from the edits of my page and just messing up the page for search engines and code wise.

      Thanks!

      Certain themes especially from experience avada theme play apart and overide settings- which is why there is a styles section to provide a method to fix it.

      as for the code I’ll let the plugin creator know and see if he can shed some light

      Hi Moe,

      Hmm I see the issue. It is not with saving the value. The issue happens when you set that HEX code in color picker it never really set that in input field it still use 2195f3.  I am not sure why the color picker does this. We are using a 3rd party color picker so I will need to see whats going on here.

      It might also be the fact that both those hex codes have same RGB values. Honestly I can not even tell a difference between those 2 colors you are trying to pick between. But I am sure it means something for you to have that exact color.

      Capture

      But it seems like your hacked CSS code seems to be working. We will see if we can find better solution for this color picker in future updates.

      Cheers mate!

      If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly leave us a review at codecanyon! from your account > downloads. Cheers!
