35% OFF ADDONS CODE EVOCYBER2020
Hello, I have a few operational questions on best approach options approaches and best solutions needed:
1. Woocommerce will initiate the order/ticket creation during the final stage of checkout and if the customers doesn’t complete the transaction after so many defined minutes the order is converted to a cancelled status, leaving a cancelled order and a cancelled ticket, as I understand, if you delete the order, the cancelled ticket remains in the system?
What is the best approach, delete both? (If you don’t want to retain that information in the WC reports and Ticket attendee export) and if so, will that cause any issues for plugin/database in the future?
2. We have situations where a person buys the wrong date and then e-mails us to switch them to a different date (or dates) usually to the same the same venue, what is the best approach to switch them to a different event ticket date? I didn’t want to start experimenting on a live system.
3. What is the best way to handle manual ticket orders? On occasion we have manual orders that are phoned in, is best to run them through WooCommerce’s interface or through the tickets interface? Is there a best way approach?
If you could let me know, it would be highly appreciated as I have these scenarios awaiting resolve, specifically the first two questions.
Thank you.

I am trying to re-create the cancelled ticket on the developer site but cannot- if we can get into your site and see what is going on then we can help
I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patient and thank you for being a eventon customer!
#1. So yea in WC settings you can set how long you want to wait till cancel order. When happen is when the order is completed that is when the tickets are created. If the order is cancelled it wont show in event ticket order data section.
But the tickets in stock is reflected from WC so unless the stock didnt go down in WC it wouldnt reflect that for cancelled order.
Deletion of cancel events is upto you personally some ppl like to see which orders were cancelled others dont.
#2. when you say different event date is that to a different date on a repeating event or different date on a non repeating event?
#3. Through WC backend. Because tickets backend doesnt allow adding new tickets. Doing that on WC backend should work fine as long as you select ticket category.
FWIW, I’ve sent my login information (along with the another inquiry) in this helpdesk post: http://helpdesk.ashanjay.com/ticket/styles-changed-after-eventon-2-5-upgrade/
Thanks!
Please answer my questions in my last reply. And if you have any more following up questions let us know thanks
Above you mentioned this:
But the tickets in stock is reflected from WC so unless the stock didnt go down in WC it wouldnt reflect that for cancelled order.
What I have noticed (last today) is that if I have e.g. 10 tickets initially, someone purchases one ticket (stock goes from 10 -> 9) and I receive the next order in which will cancel after 60 mins when not paid –> it will increse the ticket amount to 10 again. It should not.
If I understand you correctly this is a WC problem rather than EventOn problem?
Thanks.
Actually the tickets addon restock tickets if the order was cancelled but this is only done if the stock was already reduced for the same order. And that is saved as order meta value. I believe we recently added this part of the code. So make sure you are on tickets version 1.5.3
