Bug with current event countdown
Hello there !
I noticed a big problem with the elapsed / remaning time for a live event.
The countdown is good when opening the page for example “1:28:00 remaining” but while doing anything else on the computer with the window reduced or using another app on the phone or the tablet or even if phone or tablet switch off its screen then in all these cases the countdown is not running anymore and when showing again the window or switching on the phone or tablet screen on, we can see that the countdown is now continuing but its value is wrong as it continues from where it was before reducing window / switching off screen or setting the app in background.
There is an implementation problem: you made a time machine elapsing time however your timer should check the machine time and show an elapsing time according to that!

Hello !
Have a look to the phone time on top right of the phone screen and check the remaining on the live event and you could see there is a big time problem…

In few words it should remains 9 minutes on the live event however it remains 1’32”46

Thank you for pointing out I see whats going on. We are using the initial set duration and gap value instead of real time. We will make the switch in the next version update !

hello there !
Several weeks have passed… Were you able to check about this matter ?
Also yesterday we noticed on latest EventOn version that event appears live (with broadcast icon blinking) more than 30 minutes after it was declared closed while we reloaded calendar page. It that normal?

Kindly also try UTC offset time option in settings.
We were not quite able to identify the issue. But we are still working on this. Much appreciate your patient!!!
BTW what is your WordPress timezone set to and what is the event timezone set to?
