35% OFF ADDONS CODE EVOCYBER2020
Hi guys!
I integrated an Eventon calendar and it’s working mostly fine. I am however not very satisfied with the loading times on the month jumper: We are not using the fastest host, but since the Eventon calendar fires off a request to /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php on every single month change, that doesn’t even seem to be the issue. I followed your advice on http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/why-my-site-and-eventon-page-loading-slow/ and switched our caching to W3 Total Cache (WP Super Cache won’t cache since you’re sending to /wp-admin), but even with Database Caching activated, I see no reduction in loading times. What is a good way to cache the admin-ajax.php request in your experience? Thanks!
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
here is what I found for AJAX caching https://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#cacheajax
I am not sure where you are hosting but obviously upgrading to a faster web host can benefit your site. Lot of web hosts are shared servers which means you share resources with other websites so a dedicated IP server would definitely something to look into if you are concerned with load times.
For me the jumper months load pretty fast.
So talk to your webhost about dedicated IP server. Sometimes even a shared cloud server can be faster than shared regular server.
