I have used the ticket feature before and it has been working fine. However, when I tried to create a ticket this morning I found that dozens of junk events were created, but no ticket was created. You can see the junk events in the events list.Feb 4,2017 AT 3:44AM - 3 years ago -
I did manage to create a ticket for my event. But still worrying about the pawning of multiple junk events.
OK please let us know how to re-create the error- point form step by step what you did (this may take time on your end but saves time in the long run- we want to duplicate on your site exactly what you did for this error to happen as to be honest it has never happened before and kind of hard to explain without greater detail
I created an event with tickets www.jungiananalysts.org.uk/events/daves-ticket-junk-test/
and no more events were created when I created the event with tickets activated- so it is vital you tell us what you did so we can do the same thing and diagnose and fix the error
gees louise I went to events and did a search for Ticket: AJA Summer School and got 20 results x 52 pages thats 1040 events
I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan the plugin creator and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
a step by step would be helpful and Please send us FTP access to your site as a private message, just in case this is needed- this error is not normal for lack of a better way of saying it- I don’t know a way of saying it- please also check with the hosts of your server if they were doing any maintenance on the server= it is obviously not what eventon is supposed to do.
I repeated the above about three times, each time I went back to my original event
I did disable one plugin that I thought might be an issue. It is called Post Type Switcher – it allows editors to change the type of a post on the post-edit page. I noticed that Tickets have a type of Event and perhaps they weren’t meant to…
I will recommend disabling all plugins and switching back to default WP theme and testing again.
Let us know how that goes.
