When syncing, it appears to pull in events up until July. Then it stops. Is there a way I can import more events? They exist on my google calendar, but they are not being imported.

I have followed all the steps. Many of my events have been imported, but there are many that will not import.
After fetching the events, they appear with the orange “minus” sign. When I select those and they turn to orange checkmarks, I expect that they will be imported.
However, I then click on “Import Selected Events” and they do not import. It seems that there are many events that it just does not like.
I have compared the rejected events with those that were successfully imported, and I can not see anything different that would result in events being ignored.
I have attached an image to show the process.

Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
We are working on a new update to sync addon specifically addressing issues like that. At the moment you can try to use the individual event IDs for fetching those events that arent getting fetched.
How can I use the individual event IDs for fetching? Also do you have an estimation on when the update will be out that addresses this problem?
So if you go into sync events settings > facebook there is a second box that says you can put facebook IDs in there.
This is strictly through Google Calendar. Is there a work around for that? Or do I need to wait for the update? If there is no work around, please let me know when the update is expected.
Oh for google calendar, yes unfortunately for that you can not use event IDs. You should be able to export google calendar events as ICS formart from settings. If you can do that I will give you acccess to our ICS importer addon which you can use to import google calendar events that way. If you would like that please send me the order ID for your sync addon order.
Thank you. I have already purchased the ICS importer. I will use that to import events that are not being fetched with the sync add-on (until your next update.)
Can I also use the ICS importer to update events that have already imported with sync? I tried the “Sync already imported events” setting that to “yes.” Unfortunately, that did not bring them up to date with the most current information on Google Calendar.
That setting is for already synced events from ICS, btu what you can do is sync those with ICS, and then delete the duplicated once. But if you sync once with ICS importer next time you should be able to just update instead of having duplicated imports.
I can not figure out how to sync together events that were imported with sync with those that are imported by ics events, as you mentioned above.
I don’t want to have a lot of duplicates. And I don’t want to delete all the old events and end up with a bunch of 301 redirects either.
When will the update of sync be ready that fixes the problem I mentioned (not being able to import all events?)
Also, in our ics file, we have an event like this:
LOCATION:Roscoe’s, 3356 North Halsted Street, Chicago, IL 60657, United
States
The importer does not like the apostrophe in the venue title. And it gets imported incorrectly.
Just to recap:
1. I can’t figure out how to sync events that were imported with sync to those that are imported with the ics importer.
2. When will the sync update be available that corrects the problem this ticket is about?
3. I think you need to escape the apostrophe in the example location title (above) so that it is imported correctly.
Thanks my friend for the message, we are running very low on bandwidth with several minor bugs that we are trying to resolve which are high pripority, So the sync addon update have been pushed back. But its still in pipeline.
I have tested the location and it imports just fine even tho it shows only part of it. Just released ICS importer 0.3 should show location correct.
Thank you. The biggest problem I am still having (the reason I opened this ticket) is still unanswered though.
Sync is not importing all events from Google Calendar. So you advised me to use the ICS import.
Importing with ICS creates new and duplicate entries from what I already imported with the Sync Add-on.
How can I overwrite those Sync imports with the ICS import?
unfortunately there is no way for already imported events with sync to be cross referenced with ICS importer. You would have to do the manual work to delete duplicates. Sorry.
