I had no problem from the beginning, but today I notice errors when trying to add events and they seem to be related to a conflict with the popular “Essential Grid” plugin from ThemePunch. I can’t discontinue use of Essential Grid as I’m sure many others can’t as well. Are you willing to look into this new error?
When clicking to “add event” it says this:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4188965725758808064 bytes) in /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/admin/views/elements/grid-meta-box.php on line 256
I’ve included my login in case that helps. I am running your plugins on WordPress 4.7:
Thanks!
Dawn
Sorry, we do not provide support for issues with other plugins.
But contact your host and ask them to to increase the memory for your site.
I removed the other plugin but now I get a fatal error related to your plugin:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18446744069414584400 bytes) in /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/eventON/ajde/ajde-wp-admin.php on line 457
My hosting company (siteground) will not change the memory allocated to the site. It is a small site and every image is optimized. I don’t know why this would be an issue. Please explore. I sent login earlier.
Thanks,
Dawn
And now is this error too:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 25769803856 bytes) in /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/eventON/includes/admin/class-shortcode_box_generator.php on line 155
I talked with my host (Siteground) and they say your plugin is causing unusually large memory requirements… Can you please review?
Thanks,
dawn
Hi Dawn,
In this case you may need to consider changing your host.
It is very unusual that they are not willing to increase the memory for you.
Only couple of clients have requested similar issue and it was resolved once the host increased the memory.
I’m sorry, but I cannot change my host or pay the $80/mo they want for more memory. Instead, I will need to replace your plugin because now I see that I can’t get it to work with “The Grid” plugin either. It seems that EventON or perhaps the add-ons I have are conflicting with all the grid plugins available.
This is my last chance to make your plugin work – is there ANY way to reduce the memory it needs?
And what is your refund policy?
Thanks,
dawn
Let me look at this differently – I don’t know how memory works, but I know that I’m trying to put your calendar on nearly every page of the site. I’m also trying to put the grid on pages WITH the calendar. Is THAT the issue? Would it help for me to not show the calendar so much or is that unrelated?
Just trying to think of ANY way to make this work so I can use same host with both Essential Grid and your plugins and your add-ons (events tickets and events list).
Thanks,
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
Can you download following file and add it in ../eventon/ajde/ folder.
Let us know the result
what file? I don’t see a file?
thank you,
Dawn
sorry about that. Please check the link below:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6620035/evo/ajde-wp-admin.js
So, just open the link and then right click on the page and then save the file on your computer. Then use the same to add i to the location mentioned.
Thank you but that resulted in a fatal error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Cornerstone_Control_Undefined’ not found in /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php:42 Stack trace: #0 /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php(85): Cornerstone_Control::factory(‘border_style’, Array) #1 /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php(25): Cornerstone_Control::groupFactory(‘border’, Array) #2 /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php(66): Cornerstone_Control::factory(‘border’, Array) #3 /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php(21): Cornerstone_Control::mixinFactory(‘border’, Array) #4 /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control-group.php(26): Cornerstone_Control::factory(‘borde in /home/benfran6/public_html/newsite/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/controls/class-control.php on line 42
I will be removing the grid plugin today and praying that will eliminate all other conflicts. The theme I use MUST run Cornerstone (The X Theme) so if there is a new conflict there your plugin will have to go. That was never an issue before, so I’m hoping it won’t be now.
Thank you.
Dawn
ok. sure.
