Event Title Font Color and Filter Categories

Hello,

I have two questions regarding my EventOn calendar:

1. After adjusting the Event Title font color and Event Title font color (tile View) settings to dark green (HEX 1f5c1f), the event titles on the event cards are still showing up as dark grey. I have tried clearing the browser and cache, but they still display as grey instead of green.

2. For the categories under “Filter Events”, is there a way to have only the 4 parent categories show up rather than the subcategories? So for instance, we would like the filter options to be “Sports and Outdoors”, “Family Fun”, “Culture” and “Fairs and Shows” rather than having to click on “All” and then the subcategory (“Kids”, “Tree planting”, etc.). That way visitors only have to click on one of the categories to filter the events, rather than having to select the subcategories one by one to find what they are looking for.

Thank you for your help.

      Hello,

      1. I am going to contact our developers about this issue. Get back to you ASAP.

      2. Unfortunately, what you have now is the only option. Please also check https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/how-to-use-event-types-to-do-more/ and try to add this to the shortcode:

      filter_type="select"

In order to activate a different Calendar Filter Type.

      Hi Artem,

Thank you for your speedy reply. We will wait to hear back on #1 and I will try your solution to #2 and let you know if that works.

      Hey Andrew,

      We do appreciate the patience!

      Here is the patch fix

      The line to add is .ajde_evcal_calendar.boxy.boxstyle1 #evcal_list .eventon_list_event .evcal_desc span.evcal_event_title,

Please try it out and make sure to clear cache and resave eventon settings.

      Hi Ashan,

Thank you for the code. After adding it to the EventOn Styles sheet however, the dark green color only showed up on the EventCard and not the EventTop (see attached image).

In other words, the code fixed half the problem but the EvenTop titles are still showing up in grey.

Do you know why this might be happening?

Just following up on this — is there a reason the EventTop titles are still not showing up in dark green?

Also, I’ve just noticed that the featured image on the event cards are not loading on first visit (see attached image). You have to click on another month’s event and then go back to the event in order for it to show up. We’ve had a similar problem in the past where the images weren’t loading on the event tiles on first visit and Jetpack was able to sort that out. Is this something that I reach out to them for?

      Thank you.

Also, I’ve just noticed that the featured image on the event cards are not loading on first visit…

The problem is in Lazy Loading functionality. Could you please try to turn it off?

      Hi Artem,

The images now load after turning the Lazy Loading function off. Thank you.

There are 2 small design tweaks we’d still like to sort out:

      1. Change the dark grey event titles on the calendar to dark green (HEX 1f5c1f)
      2. Change the blue ‘Apply Filters’ button to dark green (HEX 1f5c1f)

Both of these can be seen in the screenshot attached.

      Thanks again for your help.

The easiest way to do this is to add custom styles to calendar using this guide https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/change-css-calendar/

Is that seem like a viable option for you while I get these added properly into the appearances in future versions?

    • Andrew Knight Mar 7,2019 AT 3:50AM - Posted 6 years ago - #115291

Thank you. This works for now. We will keep an eye out for the updated appearance options in the future.
