Ticket #34947 Public [Closed]

Event Type showing up abbreviated as single letter in Calendar

I’ve custom named my Event Type Categories as Genre, Format, and State.

All three are coming up as single letters in both the Filter row and also the EventTop row.

How can I make them appear as the full word?  Did I miss a setting somewhere?

      I have not altered the code at all.  It’s a new installation.

      I saw those this morning too – they weren’t there last night 🙂  Perhaps it was when I added some addons?

      I’m getting a similar set of missing arrays when I go to use the Action User Frontend editor as well.  Not sure if you’d like me to set up a separate ticket for that – let me know.

      I was finally able to get into FTP (FYI we dont work on weekends)

      and this is what I see .. nothing inside the correct website folder. So there is nothing I can do at this moment until I can see the folders of this website to fix it. Sorry

      You’re in the wrong subfolder.  Your screencap shows that you’ve gone into public_html, but there was a cutarugapp.com folder a level above that, with all the files & folders needed.

      Forgive me for sounding prickly, but I didn’t post this on the weekend.  I updated it 4 days ago. This ticket is 10 days old, and replies have been 24-72 hours apart and one sentence.  This is not a level of support I can work with, especially when my problem is that your plugin was broken out-of-the-box.

      Ten days later, it’s still broken.  I’m applying for refunds here and on CodeCanyon and taking my business elsewhere.  It’s a shame that customer service isn’t a higher priority here.   You would’ve kept me, and I would’ve bought the rest of the add-ons.

      I am really sorry if you felt the replies were not long enough. I dont have a whole lot of time on support so most of the time my answers are short and sweet 🙂

      Anyways I have gone into the FTP and fixed your issue. Everything is fixed now. and it took just 5 seconds. It took a long time to get correct FTP access that is why this ticket was dragged for a long time. And everytime we reply the ticket get put all the way back in the line that is why it takes us while to get back since we answer tickets in the order of freshness.

      Anyways all the issues are now fixed, i sincerely hope you will change your mind and stay with eventon 🙂

      Nothing is fixed.

      The front end still has the same glitch that started this thread.   And now it has an additional one – whatever you changed added a search bar that is overlapping the existing filters.  Action User is still a bundle of string and array errors on both the back end and the front end.  My EventOn language section, where many of the errors seem based, is still showing a fatal error.

      Also, it didn’t take 5 seconds to address, it took 10 days and 5 seconds.  You would’ve had the FTP access if you hadn’t waited days to reply to each of my messages.  5 minutes of messaging back & forth could’ve done it.  (Though again, none of it is resolved).  If your model is to move people who are waiting to the back of the line, that’s on you.

      I’m not staying.  I don’t have weeks to wait for a paid product to start working.  This lack of support is unacceptable.

      I am really sorry again for taking this long to get to where we are at. Now that I can access your FTP we can address your issues faster. I have resolved the actionUser issue and I am looking into the event types showing only one letter.

      Also search addon is included in the next eventon version that is why you have search in there now 🙂

      I appreciate you stepping up.  I see you’re making the corrections and, in good faith, I will try to work things out here.

      I see you’ve managed to remove the error messages and fix the appearance on the front end.  I noticed, though, that the form fields are all missing inside Action User (except for tickets).  I tried deactivating and deleting the plugin and then reinstalling (with the latest version) but the fields are still missing.  Were they deleted when fixing the errors?  If so, how can I reinstall them?

      I have fixed the actionUser fields. FYI all these errors are happening because of the PHP7.1+ you are running on your server. Nothing wrong with it, we just have not tested exclusively for it.

      Only one other hiccup I’m seeing at the moment – perhaps it’s a similar issue.  My front end event manager is no longer showing any events in it.  Any suggestions?

      Hmm it does show up for me however the data and status have a custom CSS that make it hard to read the info.

      I’ll hit up the CSS and try to improve the visual.

      I just used ActionUser but there are two fields not responding – the Start Date / End Date, and the Submit Event button.  Is this another PHP issue? I can walk my PHP version back if necessary – it’s starting to be a pain.

      no actually that was a Jquery issue i have fixed already 🙂 please clear cache and that should fix it
