Greetings Ashanjay and EventON Support Staff,
I’ve recently updated the Single Event plugin to 0.3, the List Events plugin, and the EventON Plugin itself. It appears that a couple of errors have appeared since updating, a screenshot of which can be found here.
I’ve noticed that clicking the “more>” arrow does not open to more content, and the Google Maps no longer loads, even though I’ve also recently added an API Key.
Also of note, the EventON Slider Addon by ThePixor does not work as of about a month ago. I’m wondering if this is related to the issues that also caused EventON’s own slider plugin to cease functioning as of October 2016?
Feb 8,2017 AT 2:58PM - 5 years ago -Hi,
Since the other plugin is not one of our, I will suggest you to contact the developer and ask his assistance for it instead.
As for single event addon, it is now integrated into the main eventon plugin now. And so, first you will need to update the main plugin to latest version 2.5.1
Then you will need to deactivate the single event addon completely.
Hi AshanJay,
I’ve deactivated and deleted the Single Event plugin. It appears that something over the past 72 hours has caused the “Register” button on events with variable pricing to cease functioning. Events with simple pricing continue to function. When the code is inspected, it appears there is no href within the tag. Here’s a screenshot of the issue:
Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
Greetings Ashanjay,
I’ve just discovered that the “more” button also does not respond. Screenshot provided below:
I’ve clicked the option in the Ticket’s settings to Open Checkout & View Cart buttons in new tab/window, and this does not appear to resolve the issue. I’ve attempted to click the Register button from both the Lightbox and the Single Event post page, to no avail.
This issue compromises a primary site functionality. Is it possible to prioritize this inquiry until it is resolved?
Here is the screenshot for the above post:
Also noted,
when the submit button is selected on the helpdesk here, the loading bar gif loads indefinitely until the page is refreshed. The following errors can be found in the console:
Greetings Ashanjay,
After further research, it appears that the “Register” button on ceases to function with events that have variations. Also, when opening an individual ticket item, Woocommerce reports areas, that apparently are related to the Variations plugin, which appears to no longer be updated. I’m thinking this could be causing the issue with the “Register” button.
To remedy this, we are considering purchasing the Name Your Price Woocommerce extension. Can you provide guidance as to whether this plugin will work with the MyEventON Plugin?
Hi,
We are aware of the issue and our developer is already looking into it. The issue will be fixed as soon as possible.
As for the more button, it works fine. Please check again.
Like Ashish mentioned the Buy now button for tickets addon have an issue and the fixed version update to tickets addon will be released soon. THe More/less button not working also should get fixed in the next eventon update.
Hi Ashish Rai & Ashan Jay,
Thank you for the clarifying responses regarding the issue. I hope that the development goes smoothly, although it seems like the Variations plugin was a bundled 3rd party plugin, and is somehow storing the variations as sub items. Thus I imagine that the fix will require reworking the way the Variations plugin works with items in Woocommerce, and will be quite involved. Kudos to the development team’s expertise in resolving this issue!
We’ve implemented a workaround by linking directly to the permalinks of the item, which takes users to a page on which the WordPress error is printed, but still has a checkout button that works with the variations. If you are finding other plugin users with the same issue, feel free to inform them of this workaround!
Hi,
We have just released a new update. So, you can use the version and it should work.
Awesome! Yes indeed! Thank you all for fixing this bug with such expediency! Much appreciated!
