Hi, as you will see from the link, the calendar wont move from its current month unless we deactivate Wordfence then it works fine!? any suggestions please.
Many thanks MarkJan 30,2017 AT 5:40AM - 3 years ago -
From what you have mentioned, this looks like a conflict caused by the other plugin.
We do not provide support for third-party plugins, so I will suggest you to contact developer of the other plugin and ask them for
Yes it is!, well i’m sure they will say the same thing, and say speak to you. Typical no one wants to take responsibility. And were not talking about some obscure plugin, its Wordfence!, which I’ve been using for years and has until now never stopped another plugin from working!
Please send us wp-admin access to your site as a private message for us to further assist your situation.
thanks for that Unfortunately there is not much I can do I am sorry
I have wordfence on one of my clients sites (they added it) that did not effect eventon in anyway (although it caused a heck of a lot of other problems so we turned it off)
the only solution I can think of is add an event list to the page instead of the main calendar
add this to the page
[add_eventon_list number_of_months=”12″ event_count=”5″ show_limit=”yes” show_year=”yes” hide_past=”yes” accord=”yes” ]
at the least all events will display without having to worry about month switching.
wordfence is doing something to stop eventon from doing it’s job so therefore I am sorry to say it is a wordfence issue and as a result we can’t really help- if you could imagine when a plugin is stopping eventon- we would have to know everything about that plugin to see why, to diagnose what is causing the issue it is outside the scope of this helpdesk I am sorry- of course wordfence support would say the same thing- they would have to know about eventon to figure out why it is not running- but they would be better to diagnose because they know what their plugin stops
First, Thanks for taking the time to look at this, I appreciate it’s not always easy.
I will see if any new versions of Wordfence resolve the issue, and in the mean time the new code you provided I’m sure will suffice.
