Ticket #30493 Public

Events don't display in calendar when set to repeat

I tried setting up a repeating event that is being held on the 22nd April and 29th April. I got the set up all fine (I think), but when I go to the page my calendar is displayed on the events aren’t appearing. This is the short code I have on my event page: [add_eventon_list number_of_months=”5″ show_limit=”yes” show_repeats=”yes” accord=”yes” ]
[su_spacer size=”40″]

Thought maybe I had my short code wrong. The events show fine if I set them up as individual events. But as soon as I turn on the repeating event toggle and set that up the event completely disappears from my event page.

I am seeing it on both dates. Clean your browser cache and check once.

They are displaying because I have put the event in as two events, day one and day two. I had to do this as if I put the event in as repeating, so the event I make is on the 22nd and the custom repeat date is the 29th it just doesn’t appear in the calendar at all. I have created a fake event called “Test Repeating Event” for the dates 21st April and 28th April. You can see that that event is not displaying in my calendar, but it is published. This is the problem I’m having. If you login to the back end you should be able to see the fake event and it’s settings and hopefully figure out why it’s not displaying in my calendar.
I hope that makes sense 🙂

Thank you. I checked the page you created and it does display the repeating events. I checked my “What’s On” page and it still didn’t display the repeating events. So, I checked the short code.

You used : [add_eventon] Which worked perfectly, but doesn’t display the calendar in the format I need.

      On my page I had:  [add_eventon_list number_of_months=”5″ show_limit=”yes” show_repeats=”yes” accord=”yes” ]

When I took out the line show_repeats=”yes” the repeating events appeared on my page. Unsure why the short code to show repeats was actually stopping the repeating events from showing, but at least it’s working now 🙂

Thank you for helping me troubleshoot this problem 🙂
