Hello,
This is really important and could make the plugin unusable for me.
I just found out that featured events appear on the top of the list for their respective month, however they do not appear on top of all events.
I created an event list, and my featured event is in March, however the February event shows up before my featured event, how is this considered a featured event if this is how it is displayed!

need to double check a few settings on your shortcode to see what is going on but for events list it displays events in a list separated by months so feb events will appear above featured march events
you can add a calendar on top of the other calendar and set it to display featured events only and to remove month headers- this way you’ll have all your featured events at the top- followed by the normal calendar
I see, this is a very strange setup to make Feb events appear before featured events in march, especially in event lists.
I think the only solution I have is to create a separate event list on top that shows only featured, but then I might have duplicates with the other events below that.
I am very disappointed in this, since featured events always should appear above all other events regardless of dates (This is how it works everywhere)
Is there an addon or something that you sell that can fix this or can you just allow us atleast the option to choose to feature events within their given month or feature it above all other events?
if you don’t want duplicates when showing 2 calendars (and by the way this is why we ask for wp-admin access so we can see your set up)
I don’t know how many event types you have but
create an event type called featured and for all featured events tick the featured event type
then on your top calendar show featured only and on the bottom calendar show every event type except the featured one. and you’ll have the look you want.
Ashan the plugin creator is going to look over your site- there does seem to be something going on where the sort options are hidden

Fara, my friend look at what the plugin is doing right now, dont just look from above and come to conclusions. It is showing featured events above other events for THAT PARTICULAR MONTH! it is NOT meant to push featured events above other months events in an event list. Because you are separating the events by months in the event list so if a April featured event appear all the way above under february that would confuse the heck out of visitors.
Here is my suggestions: Create a event list with shortcode variable only_ft=’yes’ this will show all the events that are featured events and then show this above regular events list.
At the moment hide fearured events is not supported, but it is in our next eventon beta version so if you would send FTP access to your site I can copy that beta version over with the hide all featured events option that would allow you to create a event list with no featured events (because you will already have a featured events only calendar above this)
Does this all make sense now?
That is awesome, yes this setup would be perfect, no need to rush I am still in development stages so will wait for the next release.
Thank you very much for all your help
Sounds great, hoping to release eventon next version sometime mid next month and that version will have the only featured events option
Cheers mate!
