Filter function glitchy

The filter was working but changed the filtering parameters & now not working. Original filter only based on “Event Type”. Then I added parameters for “Event Type 2”, but did not get desired results so backtracked to original filter. Except then, original filter no longer worked.

  It seems that your version of EventON is 2.9. Please update it to 3.1.6.
  
  To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate.   I set the sidebar widget to a pre-selected filter to display events that fall into a specific “Event Type”. (ie “Youth”) It was working fine.
  
  Then, I made some changes to the pre-selected filter by instead filtering by both “Event Type” and “Event Type 2”, which did not display the desired results. So, I deleted all of the items within “Event Type 2” and adjusted the filter back to the original setting (“Youth”) but then it no longer worked.
  
  I did an update. But now when I select the filter within “Event Type”, it just goes back to the “Event Type” field going to blank.
