Dear Sirs and Madams,
for our website (opencampus-uni-koeln.de) we need an event calender with a search- and filterable view. Unfortunately, these two features seem not to work. I checked the javascript, there doesn’t seem to be an issue.
It would be awesome if you could please help us fix this. π
Thanks!
Best wishes from Germany
Yasmin
oh, and btw: when I’m searching for a listed event, the page says: ‘no events’, and doesn’t go back to the ‘show all events’-view. π
Hello,
Could you update EventON to 3.0.1?
To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!
Hello Artem,
yes, I’ll try to update, last time it didn’t work.
Filtering and searching for events still doesn’t work, they are still not shown when the page is published, I checked. π
Bests, Yasmin
On our test server it works correctly: http://dev2.myeventon.com/23503-2/, so the issue can be in your version of EventON.
I updated the plugin (it’s ver 3.0.2 now), but I still can’t see any events when searching/filtering. Could you please check again? Or send me a screenshot how it should look like?
Thanks!
Did you put calendars inside of Event Details?
Could you remove them?
Hmm what exactly do you mean with “calenders” inside of event details?
Also, there’s still the issue that whenever I try to filter or search anything, all events are gone (like not being shown anymore), and I can’t get the calender back to ‘normal’ (showing all events).
Btw, I’m testing on an incognito page on Google Chrome, and there again, I can’t filter/search (issue #1: no events being shown, issue #2: can’t get back to “show all events”).
The purpose of the website is to show the events, so without being able to search or filter it won’t work. π
If you’ll go to https://opencampus.uni-koeln.de/?page_id=134 and click on TEST-VORLESUNG ENTREPRENEURSHIP, you’ll see that Event Details contains Main Calendar shortcodes. Could you remove them?
Could you also try the instructions mentioned in this documentation to make sure your issue is indeed coming from eventon. Maybe your theme or a third-party plugin affect this?
Ok, I deleted the shortcode from that event to test it, seems like Divi is automatically adding it. Yet, it doesn’t work. π
I’ll try debugging tomorrow and will get back to you. Thanks.
Great! Please keep us updated.
Hello again. I tried debugging, but it seems are no issues being reported (see attachment).
Could you please have a look again? Thank you. π
Also, here’s a screenshot of the dev tools/console, looks like js isn’t the problem, either.
I don’t think that error_log is supposed to show anything in this this case. Shortcodes are still in Event Details:
Please note that you aren’t supposed to use EventON shortcodes inside of events.
If it should keep on not working, could you please transfer the money back in exchange for the license? We would really like to use EventOn, but without being able to search/filter, the plugin and purpose of the website simply doesn’t work. Bests, Yasmin
Hi Artem, I deleted the shortcode from an event for testing, but that event also doesn’t show up when searching/filtering.
Also there’s still the unresolved issue that the calender doesn’t go back to the initial view (show all events).
If we can’t solve both of the issues, the plugin isn’t working for us. Please let’s find a quick solution.
I deleted the shortcode from an event for testing, but that event also doesnβt show up when searching/filtering.
Did you remove them from other events as well? Please check how it works on our test site: http://dev2.myeventon.com/23503-2/. As you can see you can filter, search and so on with no issues.
