Full calendar taking a long time to load

Changes to the full calendar plugin over the last several releases have resulted in very slow load time on my website. The full calendar on the Home page of my website takes 17 seconds to load. I’m using the regular EventOn calendar in my sidebar, and that only takes 3 seconds to load. I’ve tried all the suggestions I found on your website that I’m able to. I’m running on Flywheel/WP engine servers, and the platform doesn’t allow me to install a cache plugin. I tried adding ux_val=’4′ and that didn’t have any effect on speed. Can you please advise what I can do to reduce the load time? Thank you

      try adding

      cal_init_nonajax=”yes”

      to the shortcode

      and test the page while not logged in as admin as I assume flywheel has its own built cache which are often turned off when logged in

      one thing I found on your calendars is the jump month options don’t work

      Hi, I added the shortcode you suggested. Now it appears as if instead of loading the page background first and then waiting for the calendar to load, it is loading the calendar in the background before it loads the page background, resulting in it taking the same amount of time to load the entire page. How can this be fixed?

      Also, the jump month options are working, but take the same 17 seconds to load, so it appears like they are not working.

      Thanks

      Susan, I have had that issue before and in order to solve it, I had to activate the following option:

      EventON -> Advanced Settings -> Select which HTTP server communication method to use for calendar -> And select AJAX option

      Regards
