I already own Event on Calendar and I want to purchase the calendar add ons.
I really like ‘case #3: Event List with featured images with tiles’
What I want to know is if I use Google Calendar for the events, is there a way to pull the featured image from google calendar or would that need to be set each time?

You will need following addon to import from google calendar:
http://www.myeventon.com/addons/sync-events/
However, you will need to add the image each time.
When I go to http://www.myeventon.com/addons/sync-events/ I get a 404 page.
I searched for “sync events” and the RSS feed addon popped up. Is that the one we need to import from the Google Calendar or do we need the CVS Event Importer addon?

http://www.myeventon.com/addons/sync-events/ is temporarily suspended at the moment, as we are working on it for another update.
You could use both Sync and ICS Importer to import events. Syncing would be a little faster.
