Hello,
until last year it was all ok but… here for example:
https://www.libriincantina.it/programma-libri-in-cantina/
maps didn’t show when i open an event. In the console there’s this error
eventon_gen_maps.js?ver=4.9.7:198 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘AdvancedMarkerElement’)

Here’s the issue:
Google Maps JavaScript API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
Your site URL to be authorized: https://www.libriincantina.it/events/carlotta-camilla-polly-e-larissa-campeol-allastoria-lounge-wines-store/
Please try following https://elfsight.com/blog/how-to-get-google-maps-api-key-guide/ > Restrict your API key.
Hi Artem,
I added restrictions both to used APIs and the website… error is still there
Hmm strange but it’s still showing the same error:
Could you send us a screenshot of your restrictions as a private message?
Ah sorry, I was referring to your Google Account > Maps API Settings > https://elfsight.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/how-to-get-google-maps-api-key-step6.png
Could you check?
Ops, excuse me
Instead of https://www.libriincantina.it/ please add https://www.libriincantina.it/*
Also check “Restrizioni delle API” on the same page and try setting it as well.
Please remove https://www.libriincantina.it/ and only leave https://www.libriincantina.it/*.
I did it but no change…
Curiously Firefox and Chrome show different errors
Here’s Chrome
Could you send us this screen again:
https://helpdeskx.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/09071500/screenshot-console.cloud_.google.com-2025.05.09-16_12_46.png
I waited 24hours to make sure that Google updated everything. However, no changes unfortunately.
I created this test event:
https://www.libriincantina.it/events/test/
Could you try adding this URL before https://www.libriincantina.it/* for a test to make sure that it will work:
https://www.libriincantina.it/events/test/
I am sorry that it takes so long to fix. Just not sure why there is no changes at all.
Could you take a look at this guide:
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#restrict_key
Please remove https://www.libriincantina.it/* as well as https://www.libriincantina.it/events/test and then only add
https://*.libriincantina.it/*
I read practices (again). In the page then there’s the advice about priority of app restrictions…
So I added only https://*.libriincantina.it/* without API restrictions. Still no changes. Same error
I also disable WP super cache, just in case…
No idea
I believe that it’s working now:
Could you check?
Here I am. Sorry, busy with work…
Lucky you. I’m still seeing an empty space…
I also updated plugin to last version
Could you open events to see that there is no map, then follow this guide and send us a screenshot of Console:
