How do I create an "Add to Calendar" button for Google Calendar and Outlook?

I’m really frustrated because I bought EventOn because I need to do one thing… add an “Add to Calendar” button to my webinar registration confirmation page. And I was told that EventOn can do this.

Can it? How?

And please be aware that I’m not very good with coding.

      Hello,

And I was told that EventOn can do this.

Could you please send me a link to the page with this information?

You can go to EventON > EventCard Data > check LEARN MORE & ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR to show this button on Event Card. After you can use Single Event shortcode to show one event users can add to their calendars.

Here’s the link that you requested: https://goozleology.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=18295&action=architect&tve=true

And I’m going to check out your other suggestion.

      Thanks

OK, I found what you’re talking about but I can’t figure out where to find the shortcode. Where can I find it and how do I add it to another page? Copy and paste?

And where can I find full training?

      Thanks

So, I found the shortcode generator and created the shortcode for my event. But now I can’t figure out how to add it to my page which is using the Confluence Theme from Thrive Themes for WordPress.

I’ve tried adding it as HTML code and as plain text. Neither seemed to work.

UGH. Alright, I found this article from Thrive Themes about adding shortcodes through Thrive Architect: https://thrivethemes.com/tkb_item/using-shortcodes-architect/

But I followed their instructions and copied and pasted the EventOn shortcode just as they said but it still doesn’t work.

So, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong with either EventOn or Architect.

It seems that the problem is with EventOn because I just created a new post using my standard WordPress theme and the event will not display.

      Here’s that post: https://goozleology.com/testing-eventon-shortcode/

Alright, so my sister helped me figure out that the plugin is not including the Event ID in the shortcode. When I add the ID, it works. But I seem to have to add everything manually.

Please try to make this event Repeating: https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/setting-up-repeating-events/. That way you won’t have to change it’s date manually.

But I’m not trying to create a repeating event. Also, it’s clearly caused by the plugin not adding the Event ID to the shortcode.

      Please use this shortcode:

      [add_single_eventon id=”18305″ ]

This problem was fixed and will be available with the next update.
