I have bought both the eventon calendar and the RSS addon. My goal is to have an RSS feed of my calendar so I can send the events through email using mailchimp.
Could you please help me generate an RSS feed?

the RSS feed addon will generate a RSS feed URL like this http://demo.myeventon.com/evofeed this URL should have the RSS XML feed data for all events.
Here is the instruction http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/how-to-set-up-rss-addon/
On my eventon settings, there is not an RSS feed option: See image attached.
myEventON > Settings > RSS Feed
So I cannot activate de RSS feed button. And therefore don´t have an URL of my events feed.
Could you please help me?
You need to update your eventon core to 2.5.2 this will work better with the current version of rss
If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon install new one and activate and delete old eventon. In order to update eventon to latest version. This link further explains it.
I did install the newest version and now I can see the RSS option on my settings. However, the url shows a page not found, even updating the permalinks:
please help!! can´t seem to make it work properly
We did get it to work but it is not a valid rss feed for mailchimp.
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
Looks fine for me
See if you can get a hold of mailchimp and see what requirements they need for RSS feed? because what you get here is XML feed.
I found the way to generate the rss feed, but I have another problem now.
The result of the RSS feed doesn´t meet our needs. We want the events to be in order, and show the list of the upcoming events. But what we have right now is a mixed-up events, are in a random order. The follow the order in which they have been published on the WP administrator.
And another thing is that the dates are in English:
START: Sat, 20 May 2017 00:00:am END: Sat, 20 May 2017 23:59:pm
Is there a way to translate this?
Could you help me please??
Amaia, we just updated RSS feed addon to version 0.7 can you please update to that version in there the events should be ordered by start date. and as for time format you can use the plugable filter evorss_feed_date_format to alter the format.
time format you can use the plugable filter evorss_feed_date_format to alter the format.
Could you please explain us the steps to actually change the date format? We don´t understand what you mean on the sentence above.
In there code there is this filter
and you can use that filter to change the date format sting we are passing.
Here is how to use filters guide by none other than the Pippin himself 🙂
