I have purchased the event lists extended plugin and I’m trying to display more than just the current month in my eventon calendar. We sell tickets to shows and would like to display two or three months at a time. From what I understand that’s what the extension will allow me to do and I’ve installed it but I’m really not clear how to implement it. There’s not much documentation on it that I can find. Any help to get it working would be fantastic.
Feb 28,2022 AT 5:08PM - 3 years ago -Hello,
Please use this shortcode to show events for 12 months:
[add_eventon_el number_of_months=”12″ hide_empty_months=”yes”]
If you want to show only 2 or 3 months, replace 12 with 2/3.
If you want to show only 5 events for the whole list use:
[add_eventon_el number_of_months=”12″ hide_empty_months=”yes” event_count=”5″ event_count_list=”yes”]
in myeventon>>>>tickets
look for Default event ticket stop selling time base
use the drop down to select – event end time instead of start time
at least that will open up ticketing
I have done that but to get it to show we have to extend the time until after midnight for it to work. It’s very frustrating to have to do that for every show however. How can we get Eventon to properly work? Same day tickets are the backbone of our business and one of the reasons we went with Eventon in the first place. Any further help to get this taken care of would be great.
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer! Also please disable any IP blocking on your site if there are any.
Has there been any movement on this because we’re still having the same issue and it makes it very difficult our business because same day ticket sales are so key. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am sorry, I am not sure what the issue is? if you have switched this to end time and it allowed you to sell tickets until event times correct?
please explain what your clarification of “eventon to properly work” perhaps that will lighten up things for us to help better 🙂
It still doesn’t allow for same day purchases for tickets. I switched to stop selling tickets at the end of the event but that only works if we manually edit the event and set the ending to after 12:00 AM the following day. For whatever reason it will not allow tickets to be purchased on the day of. So in order to be able to sell tickets we have to trick the system into thinking the event ends “tomorrow” to allow people to buy them. Does that make sense? It never used to have any issue until the most recent update. I’d be curious if downgrading to the 4.0 version of the plugin would solve the issue.
I’ve tried reinstalling all plugins at this point and everything else I can think of I’m still having the same issue. The restaurant owner is getting very frustrated and beginning to ask me to look into other ticket selling options. I don’t want to do that but it’s starting to look bad on me that I cannot get this bug squashed. We have an event scheduled to end at 8:30 tonight but for tickets to be sellable right now at 3:30pm I had to edit the event ending to tomorrow morning or tickets won’t be available. Aside from looking odd on the event listing, this is also a problem because we do multiple shows certain nights so a 7pm show and an 8:30 show both have to be extended past midnight. So somebody who purchases a 7pm ticket might be under the impression that they can stay until midnight when they would need to purchase tickets for the later show to do so.
This only begun happening when I updated to 4.05 of Eventon. Before then we had no issue so I assume it has to do with changes made in that update. I also added event lists extended plugin at that same time. It worked fine until I made those changes and that’s when the same day ticket sale option broke. If you try to purchase tickets now on the day of the event it says there are none available even though there are. Today is Monday and unless the event happens on Tuesday, nobody can buy tickets.
Hi there, I see whats going on. We will do more testing on our end as well.
In the mean time kindly try UTC offset time in settings and see if this helps. Are the ticket buyers also located in same pacific timezone?
