Hi,
We have used this option as we have disabled the Google API.
Go to myeventon->settings->google maps api->Disable Google Maps API and enable “Google maps javascript file only (If the js file is already loaded with another gmaps program)” option
We see the following errors in the Javascript below when we using Google Chrome’s developer tools

Looking fora solution – to help display embedded maps in our events.
The webpage the error is seen on is https://diamondmowers.com/about/events/
We only have one event created – IN SEPTEMBER – as we are new to the plugin.

Hello,
Please deactivate Disable Google Maps API and then fix this error:
Google Maps JavaScript API error: ApiNotActivatedMapError
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#api-not-activated-map-error
Hi I did step #1 by DEACTIVATING “Disable Google Maps API”.
Now – I’m stuck on what do with the API Key I created under our Google Cloud Platform.
I did attach a screenshot that might be able to help…
Could you try following https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key/ or https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key?
OK – I think we have everything set up correctly – BUT we don’t have BILLING set up – which we likely would never get billed from Google, as we won’t exceed 40K API calls. But I don’t think the embed functions until you set up billing.
We will try this and report back, to see if this makes it work.
Billing is set up and Maps API are enabled. With no restrictions. It’s still not displaying. I’ll attach 3 screenshots
– View from EventOn Event Settings for the specific event
– Google Cloud view of API settings
– Website view of the event (public-facing)
Here’s the updated API view from Google Cloud
Here’s the public-facing website view.
You can see the Google Maps embed is not showing.
You didn’t assign any location: https://diamondmowers.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=11293&action=edit
Please fix this error:
Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
Hi – I put in a location earlier. And here’s a screenshot. Are we doing something wrong with adding a location?
It wasn’t assigned when I checked it so I assigned it myself. Did you update the event after the assignment? Could you also tell me if you created a new category or assign an existing one?
Please also fix the Geocoding Service error.
This event was already created and assigned before reaching out.
No new categories were created, and we did not assign a new one.
How would one fix the Geocoding Service error?
Please check https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/this-api-project-is-not-authorized-to-use-this-api/
Hi –
This works now! Just had to turn on all 3 APIs.
Google Maps JavaScript API
Google Maps Geocoding API
Google Maps Places API
Thanks for your help on this!
