Hi. I have the Tickets addon set up so that Ticket Inquiries should be sent to an address other than the default admin’s and with a custom subject line. However, when I receive the test messages it continues to send to the admin’s email and the “From” appears as “WordPress”. The subject line is correct, though.
Also, is there any way to disable to Phone Number field in the Inquiry form or at least make it optional? My client feels requiring that info is likely to prevent some customers from using the form.
Thanks!

You can send us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category.
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for getting back to us.
The plugin will send emails using the wp_mail() function and the From address will normally default to WordPress and the admin email.
In case you are not able to send us a customization job, I can recommend installing an SMTP plugin that will make it possible to customize the send from address and also authenticate your emails for better deliverability.
I hope this helps!
Ok thanks for that explanation and recommendation for the SMTP plugin.
I still, however, don’t understand the purpose of the Ticket Inquiries Settings. Why is there an option to set a name and email in that field if it doesn’t do anything? The subject line field works so is there a bug with the “Default Email Address to Receive Ticket Inquiries” field? Should I submit a bug report instead?
If not, I don’t understand the presence of that field if the form only uses the wp_mail() function.
I apologize if I’m being difficult but it’s a feature that’s part of a paid plugin addon so why doesn’t it work as advertised? Thanks.
You are not being difficult- see video below
So you could change phone number to say something like this
How did you hear about us (google, friend etc)
Not only is this not going to scare people away- you may get some valuable info from asking
Looks like a bug- I’ll do some tests on the dev site and get back to you asap
Yes I am getting the same error on the dev site- you are not going crazy- I am going to assign this to ashan the creator so he can make a fix for it
I am sorry – we have staff here that don’t all speak the same language and I believe there was a communication breakdown in previous tickets
I see what you mean. The field placeholder values need to be changed to the values you save in settings. Will get this fixed in the next version update. I dont think this will stop you from using the feature. 🙂
No need to apologize! I appreciate you looking into it and confirming I’m not going crazy. 😄 Thanks for passing it along to Ashan. This is a fantastic plugin!

Just wanted to let you know Ryan, we are doing a massive virtual event update to bunch of addons and tickets is one of them and it is taking a bit longer. But we are hoping to get this new version out this week!
Thanks for the update!
