When opening an event as a lightbox on Firefox, the event header div (evolb_header) is not transparent as it should be, and the “close” button is bad aligned (the X is outside the circle, the circle is smaller and with different colour.
my site is http://alejodelosreyes.com
Hello,
No issues on my side:
That’s really strange. The header should be light blue, not white. Is not doing it consistently. Would you please check the spanish version? for some reason is it doing it more often there
The screenshot is using Firefox 110.0 on PopOS Linux. On other chrome based browsers I don’t find the issue for now
In fact, I just tried Chromium and I’m having the same issue… I don’t know… maybe, as you are in a Mac, Safari’s rendering engine has not that problem
see video
might be something as simple as clearing your browser cache
Firefox uses the same engine on all platforms.
I did clear my browser cache, several times. The second screenshot I sent it was done with chromium freshly installed, so, no cache at all.
Just tried in my wife’s laptop, using chrome on windows. Exact same issue.
In my laptop, I only got it to work as expected on a (rather obscure)browser I use called qutebrowser.
I don’t know what to do, really.
i’ll assign ashan to this see if he has any advice
the wifes laptop- is that pc or mac?
My wife uses Google Chrome on Windows 10
My laptop uses Pop Os Linux 22.04 and the bug is happening on the latest version of Firefox and Chromium
Hello, any news on this?
No updates from Ashan, unfortunately.
Could you follow https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/website/how-to-inspect-and-change-style-using-google-chrome
Please open the page with the issue and inspect the close button. Send us a screenshot of the styles sidebar, so we can take a look.
Hmm I can not replicate this issue on my end either. firefox shows just fine
So, here’s the output of 4 different browsers, same page (spanish version of homepage). So far, it’s the only one in which I’m getting that bug. Could it be a shortcode problem?
First two (top left -rigth) browusers are Firefox 112.0.1 and Chromium 112.0.5615.165. The other ones are Qutebrowser (the only one working as expected) v2.5.0 using QtWebEngine 5.15.9, based on Chromium 87.0.4280.144 (my guess is that might be the reason why is the only one working), and Google Chrome 112.0.5615.165.
The shortcode is: [add_eventon_list number_of_months=”6″ event_count=”5″ show_limit=”no” event_past_future=”future” filter_show_set_only=”no” hide_month_headers=”yes” hide_mult_occur=”yes” hide_empty_months=”yes” only_ft=”yes” ux_val=’3′]
I waited a couple month to see if some upgrade on the browsers would change things, but it doesn’t. This is really hurting my website, being on the frontpage of all places!
Hello,
I don’t think that we receive the image from the last message. Could you send it again?
Do you have similar issue with your shortcode but on our test site:
https://dev2.myeventon.com/test-35/
Could you check and let me know?
I am terribly sorry I hear you, you are worried it is hurting your traffic on your website. Please understand, it is hard for us to fix an issue when we can not replicate it on our side. Firefox work fine for us. Hmm
Have you tried, clearing webhost cache? from cpanel, database. and on your website? It seems like from the screenshots you are sharing: some eventon styles are not loaded on the page. In firefox console make sure eventon_styles.css file is loaded.
Something else you can do to resolve it for now is switch ux_val to 4 so it open as new window.
