My Event page loads really slowly

Hi,

I’m having trouble with the page load speed for my events page – is there anything I can do to speed it up?

I’ve tried two different ways
1. https://www.foodsorcery.co.uk/upcoming-events/ – this shows all events for the next 10 months

2. https://www.foodsorcery.co.uk/bookonline/ – I have tried to use tabs to reduce the first load

Both pages take at least 22 seconds to load which is killing our google ranking and deterring customers

Any help and advice would be much appreciated

Thanks
Helen

      Hello,

      12 seconds for me:

The problem is that you have 3 calendars on the same page that load at the same time. Plus each have more than 20 events. Tabs unless they can load content dynamically with AJAX, don’t help to reduce the time.

      Please try following https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/why-my-site-and-eventon-page-loading-slow/

      Hi,

Is there a way for the events to load all rather than load more using show_limit=”yes”

Currently the customer needs to click many times to see the whole month, I’d like to be able to show all (i.e the whole month) with one click.

      Thanks

      Helen

      Hi,

I tried using code ux_val=’4′ in the following page and when I click the event top it just opens up a blank box.

Could you let me know what is going wrong

      Thanks

      Helen

Is there a way for the events to load all rather than load more using show_limit=”yes”

The best solution is to use Event Lists: Ext add-on https://www.myeventon.com/addons/event-lists-extended/. Instead of showing multiple Load More buttons under each month, it shows only one for the whole calendar.

      Please try it on https://dev.myeventon.com/wp-admin/

I tried using code ux_val=’4′ in the following page and when I click the event top it just opens up a blank box.

Could you send us a screenshot?

This is a screen shot from page https://www.foodsorcery.co.uk/upcoming-events/

I added ux_val=’4′ to the shortcode but when I click an empty box appears.

      Thanks

      Thanks,

It works but the way it loads is not very user friendly and the gain in load time minimal.

I think I need to find another solution.

      Thanks

      Helen
