Hello,
One of our users alerted us that there is no option to upload an event image when submitting an event on the mobile and tablet versions via the frontend of the site on this page: https://visitgaylongbeach.com/submit-your-event/. This option appears fine on desktop. We are running the latest version of EventOn and EventOn Action User and have tried deleting cache but the issue persists. Please let us know how to fix.
Thanks for your help!
Apr 14,2019 AT 5:41PM - 4 years ago -I don’t see the option to upload on desktop
are they logged in when trying to add an event- because it doesn’t appear if they are not loggeed in
in myeventon>>>>action user>>>general settings there is the option to Allow event image upload to non logged-in visitors (Not recommended)
might want to turn that on
Ah yes, I see that setting now – thank you! On a scale of 1 to 10, how dangerous do you think it is to allow non-logged in users to upload photos?
Hello,
Quite dangerous. The thing is that by default WordPress is a blogging platform where only trusted users can create articles (and upload images if needed). I doubt that WordPress has the same procedure for images like, for example, Dropbox.
Ok, thanks for letting me know – going to turn that setting off. Thanks for your help!
We are glad your issue is resolved, if you have any further questions or concerns please create a new ticket. If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly leave us a review at codecanyon! from your account > downloads. Cheers!
