On Event Card - I want to only display the start time of event, not the date and end time.

On the event card I want to display only the start time of the event.

At the moment it displays the following:
Clock Icon: (june 13) 7:00 PM – (july 18) 10:00 PM

I want this to be:
Clock Icon: 7:00PM

So that it will not show the start date, end date or end time, only the start time.

How can I achieve this?

      Hello,

Please go to wp-admin > Events > Edit Event > Time and Date > enable Hide End Time from calendar.

      ok,

In this example event began 28th June and completes on 25th July

When I enable Hide End Time from calendar, the event is not displayed online and is marked as ‘EVENT OVER’.

I can not set the end date when I have hidden this from calendar.

Could you also try enabling “Span the event until hidden end time”?

Thank you, this has almost achieved the desired results.

I have the problem where an event spans across more than 1 day it displays the start date by the time.

      See attached.

Only on events that are on a single day it shows correctly (time only)

I have also noticed a field called ‘(Optional) Event timezone text’, if we can hide the time and input it manually here we can achieve the desired results.

Let me know what to do.

The latest version of EventON removes the date. Could you update to 4.1?

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!

      Hi Artem,

I have updated Eventon to 4.1 and all plugins add-ons that where outdated.

The issue still persists, can you advise.

      P.S.

I did not delete the original EventOn plugin

      1) I disabled EventOn
      2) I uploaded new EventOn 4.1
      3) I selected replace current with uploaded version
      4) I activated EventOn 4.1
      5) I updated each addon in the same maner

I double checked the settings and unfortunately when the event lasts for several months you can’t hide the date.

The only way is to customize the source code.

    • Johnathan Yaari Jul 11,2022 AT 7:53AM - Posted 2 years ago - #281912

The display is incorrect, if the event lasts more than a day or spans across several months surely this is a bug in your source code.

It makes no sense to display a time and day of an event that spans across more than one day as this is misleading.

Can you point me in the direction of where this is listed in the source code and I can have it customised, ideally we will have a hook or filter to target this..

I see your desire to show eventtop time as only just the end time, which is wonderful 🙂 Please understand this is only your desire and there are others who desire to have the time displayed as what it does now. Of course we recognize this and we would love to incorporate all the desires of our wonderful customers 🙂

Let me get a new option added for next version release which will allow you to select how you want to show eventtop time in various ways. You can use this pluggable filter to modify how it looks to further fit your needs.

Ok i tested this out in version 4.1 if you set event edit values to this.

Then the events will just show start time on event calendar.
