Ticket #33414 Public

Published events won't open in a new window.

I’ve tried to find a solution on my own – but no luck.

When I publish a new event and select it to open in a new window, WordPress displays a 404 error – page not found.

Let’s say I am creating an event called “test event”, the process looks like this:

  • Before publishing it, in the middle of editing (but with “open in new window” checked) I click “Preview” it displays correctly with plain permalink structure: ?post_type=ajde_events&p=2267&preview=true
  • My default permalink structure is post type. After publishing my event, the plugin creates a permalink that looks like this www.example.com/events/test-event/ and it returns 404 error
  • When I change WP permalink structure in the middle of editing my test event post type -> plain and I update my test event, it creates a permalink that looks like this: www.example.com/?ajde_events=test-event and it works fine. When I change permalink structure from plain -> back to post-name the event displays correctly www.example.com/?ajde_events=test-event
  • When I stay with permalink structure post-type and create another test-event2 – it again shows me 404.
  • So then – I have post-type permalink structure and 2 events and one doesn’t work:
    www.example.com/?ajde_events=test-event WORKS
    www.example.com/events/test-event2 DOESN’T WORK
  • When I manually re-create a permalink that works with event 2 and instead of www.example.com/events/test-event2 I put www.example.com/?ajde_events=test-event2 it shows.

So it seems to me there somewhere is a problem with the plugin when it tries to create new permalinks for the events. But I can’t find where.

PS. Permalink structure had been flushed numerous times.

Please help.

Best wishes,

What exactly happens? Or maybe nothing happens? I don’t block/allow any specific IP numbers. I know that the server is VERY slow, so maybe that’s the problem.

      OK try now

you have 2 different events calendar plugins running and the other events calendar was using events as the slug

So I went to myeventon>>>>>settings>>>>>events paging and made it events-directory- reset the permalinks and single events don’t appear to get the 404 error but I didn’t check them all- let me know

and if all is well a per-emptive

If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly leave us a review at codecanyon! from your account > downloads. Cheers!

of course if we didn’t help then- don’t write a review just yet 🙂
