Is it possible to add the event location (venue name) to the WP site search, similar to adding Events using Evo settings? I know that a custom post type can be added using functions.php if the theme allows it, but it seems like event _location is an attribute of the adje_events post type, and not a post type of its own. Is there some workaround for this?

That’s a good suggestion. I might use that. Still I think it should be looked at as a possible bug. For example if someone uses an apostrophe name in the venue then it’s the same issue.
